A Body Based Approach To Meditation…

I am excited to share these meditations with you because this is an approach to meditation that is so powerful for anxiety and healing the nervous system. This is really good for those of you who find traditional meditation challenging because of a busy mind.....and for those of you who have a meditation practice, but are open to a new approach.

Embodied Meditation uses mindfulness of the body as the foundation of the meditative journey.

Rather than trying to develop meditation through our left-brain/thinking-mind in a “top-down” process, Embodied Meditation uses a bottom-up process. We connect with the body as the fundamental arena of meditation practice, which is a really powerful experience.

EMBODIED MEDITATION:

🔸️Reduce effects of over stimulation

🔸️Retrain Anxiety

🔸️Nourish the nervous system

🔸️Manage Insomnia

🔸️Increase Mental Clarity

🔸️Release tension in the body

🔸️Reduce depression

🔸️Offer relief from chronic pain

🔸️Increase embodiment / connection to self

By bringing our awareness into the body (of course, using the breath as a vehicle for exploration) we begin to get in direct touch with deep states of relaxation and self awareness. We reconnect with who we *actually* are and what is going on inside us.
