Take an intentional breath, relax the face and shoulders.
Use index finger and thumb to rub circles along the outer edge of the ear and ear lobe.
Gently pull and release the ear away from the head, letting the ear slide through your fingers until it is released.
Pinch and release around the edge of your ear lobe, then work up and down outer edge of ear.
Use the pads of fingers to gently stroke around the front and outer edge of the ear. Move to the back of the ear, stroking from the top and down to where the ear joins the jaw.
Place the palm on the whole ear, slightly push inward and move the palm up and down to fold and unfold the whole ear cartilage.
Breathe and notice how you feel.

I'm sharing this medicine in honor of Baba #MutuluShakur finally being released after 35 years of imprisonment as a political prisoner. He contributed greatly to health consciousness in the black community. Specifically training men and women on an a simple acupuncture protocol using points in the ear to help with symptoms of drug withdrawal and acute trauma - during a time when toxic drugs were (strategically and maliciously) dropped into our communities; tearing families apart. This was an epidemic we are still healing from today. This massage routine was inspired by the great work of this front line warrior Mutulu Shakur and my personal Elder Baba Kokayi. Thank You.
