The Rejuvenation Session

I asked the group, "have you all ever heard of 'resting bitch face' ?".
We all laughed and had our own relationship and stories about our "default" facial setting. There are many reasons our faces settle into the shapes they have. With facial tension, one of the signs we are too up in the head, and disconnected from the body, is if we notice our face feel stiff, tight, or rigid.
For example, I notice when i'm staring at my phone, My eyes become locked and my face becomes stiff...maybe right now you could relax your face a bit? Feel the whole body relax as a result of the face softening. The same thing happens when I am walking to a destination, and thinking very hard about all the things I have to do. . .
In the most recent rejuvenation session we played around with some somatic exercises for the face, giving our face permission to relax...to release the mask and/or the shapes we picked up. As the muscles of the head and face relax, we can access more ease, more mental clarity, more connection with our body...our existence in the present.
