When our body is not a safe space…

Maybe....at some point in your life, it wasn’t physically safe for you to be in your body, so you drifted into the realm of the mind in order to survive. Maybe....your childhood environment was unsafe or chaotic mentally or emotionally...so you moved into your mind, fantasizing about other realities. Maybe...you live in a capitalist system that encourages you to ignore your body for the sake of profit or "productivity".

Being in your body / being embodied can feel unsafe...because of physical threats or because of the intensity of emotion housed within that we're trying to avoid. And I get it. It can also simply be unfamiliar because we aren't taught how to be Embodied in this culture....this mind-based society.

The problem is...living in the head creates a disconnect from the body that can go on for years....or your whole lifetime.

But the body holds the key to so much of the healing we are seeking in today's paradigm!!!

Learning to feel again...learning the wisdom and language of sensation within...remembering emotional intelligence. This will contribute to the healing of our relationships, families, and our society.

It is safe to feel.

It is safe to be in your body.

It is BENEFICIAL.

And If it doesnt feel safe now, which is true for many of us, you CAN work your way back into embodiment.
