Quality of Thoughts influence Breath. Breath influences the quality of thoughts.

The way we breathe can prompt a cascade of physical changes in the body that promote > either stress or relaxation.

You choose.

I start all my bodywork sessions with some form of conscious breathing to help initiate the relaxation process for my clients.

🪷If we are breathing shallow and fast, it causes our nervous system to "up-regulate". This can cause us to feel tense and alert (hyper alert).

Activity in amygdala suggests that quick breathing rate can trigger feelings like anxiety, anger, fear, or defensiveness.

🪷Conversely, If we’re breathing slowly, it actually turns on the ANTI-stress response.

We reduce stress and anxiety but reconnecting with, and slowing down our breath.
